- Electrical Maintenance Technician
General Position Summary:
Employee works throughout the facility on various equipment on installed and new systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Installation of electrical conduit, wiring, and components to National Electric Code
Routine servicing of: Machine tools - manual and CNC mills and lathes, air compressors and vacuum pumps, dust collectors, HVAC units, processing and cooling systems.
Performs preventive maintenance, routine and emergency repairs to same.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctioning systems and components like Variable Frequency Drives, and Programmable Controllers.
Interprets engineering drawings and equipment manuals related to equipment
Performs replacement of major and minor parts, components, or entire systems.
Performs overhauls on major equipment components.
Provides recommendations regarding equipment maintenance and repair.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform job functions of an Electrical Maintenance Technician as required.
Generally works independently, by work order or assigned task. Occasionally as member or leader of a team.
The employee must be able to read, write and speak English. The employee must be able to create clear written communication using computer software and hardware available in the area. The employee must have a high school diploma or GED
Must be licensed by State of Oregon: minimum of limited industrial journeyman card.
Basic knowledge in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Extensive electrical knowledge, able to use voltmeter and ampmeter, megger, oscilliscope and other instruments.
Two years technical training and 3-5 years maintenance experience or 5-10 years work experience.
All employees will be responsible for the impact of their actions on the ability of their co-workers to perform the work required. Interaction with suppliers will be required. Interaction with customers may be required.
This position is not supervisory in nature.
The employee must be able to work in a hot, dusty environment. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided as required for a safe working environment. Locker room and shower facilities will be provided for the safe hygiene of the employee. Shift work may be required. The employee must be able to work at any time of the day or week. Shifts may vary between eight and twelve hours.
The employee must be able to lift at least 35 pounds and have the ability to move safely in and about the production area. The employee must be able to operate power equipment safely including an overhead crane and a forklift as a minimum.
